A note from the author:

I wrote Livyloo’s Quiet Morning to share my childhood experience of learning to understand my twin sister Olivia’s deafness. Growing up, my sister and I shared a room. As we started and ended our days together, I was always perplexed by Olivia’s ability to remain asleep, despite the variety of sounds around us.

It took a while for me to understand Olivia’s unique way of hearing. Inspired by both of our journeys, I wrote this children’s book to help others understand how their loved one’s access sound, and offer representation to those who experience it in this way.

Livyloo’s Quiet Morning invites readers to understand the phenomenon of deafness and hearing through a Cochlear Implant.
